This department of the Probate Judges Office offers services that include tags, titles, boats, hunting license, fishing license, and business license. In addition to our Stars Fell On Alabama plate, we now offer the God Bless America plate for no additional charge. During your renewal month, please let us know if you would like to exchange your tag. These tags are optional and not required. If you would like this tag before your renewal month, you must bring in your old plate to exchange it out plus pay a $1.25 issuance fee.

REGISTERING A NEWLY ACQUIRED VECHICLE

When purchasing a tag for a newly acquired vehicle, you must come into our office and register the vehicle within 20 days from the date of purchase. If purchased from and individual or an out of state dealer, salestax will be due on the purchase price of the vehicle.
